mr erase really liked my one pager and the connections i made with the story. I liked the other one pagers and the pictures were very creative and had meaning to them

In class today we talked about hispanic heritage month. The video we watched told us the different ethnicity and not to stereotype someone who is hispanic. Also we continued reading the book fences which is kinda a slow book for me. The pacing doesn’t seem as fast as books i’m normal of reading
The Latino culture is fascinating and has a unique history. I really like how they celebrate females growing into adulthood calling those quinceaneras. They also celebrate deaths instead of moping the deaths as other cultures do. Most families keep a strong tradition of passing it down to the younger kids and family members. I wanna know some of the certain traditions different ethnicities have.

In class, we read the story the rock pile. It was an interesting story that left us with a cliffhanger at the end of the story. The story leads us in a sense of suspense that would make the second part of the story really good.

In class today we rewrote the ending of the rock pile. Also we went over a short quiz together as a class, then we talked about our one pager
Rock Pile Bell Ringer
John suddenly stopped in fear as his father's foot slowly stepped down in front of him as grabbed his father's lunchbox. His father's presence slowly came out leaving a tremble on John's body as he stood over him." John baby please go to your room and get rest." Elizabeth said quietly John immediately hurried to his room in fear of what was going to happen to him. As he entered his room he could feel the blank slate of the room he just left. "Liz I honestly don't feel like I'm the man of the house in here, I just don't believe I get treated with the respect I deserve," Gabriel says. "Well im sorry you feel that way I just cant have you behaving like that around the children." This remark made gabriel truly think about his next decision, Gabriel ends up walking out the house to clear his mind. Elizabeth just glares at the door and walks away into the darkness of the hallway.
Neighborhood bell ringer
My neighborhood is quiet with decent-sized houses and many older people in residence. Its nothing really unique about my neighborhood other than the big backyards. My neighborhood is a good area since it's really quiet and it's older people so usually, they're in the house. The only eyesores you might see are the bad yards and older houses since it is an older neighborhood. I can go outside since my mom grew up in the neighborhood and she trusts the people there. I choose not to go outside since usually after my practice I'm to tired to be out with friends or anything.
